摘要

An experimental procedure was developed for investigating the effect of air intrusion into a roof on wind uplift resistance and life cycle performance. Five roof assembly configurations were quantified for air intrusion in relation to existing codes of practice and standards. The effectiveness of air barrier/retarders for reducing air intrusion was also studied. Energy load calculations were made using a simplified procedure and two case studies were used to estimate the impact of air intrusion on roof energy performance.
